A Destroyed People Requiem

A Destroyed People Requiem

You don’t have to look far
Just out of your window
To see the broken souls
The numbers crescendo
From one end of the street
All the way to the other
Base, dope, and crack
Driving the father and mother
Children running wild
Left to fend for themselves alone
All kinds of predators
Blow through them like a cyclone
Corners are the hot spots
Where you can purchase death
It may not not catch you soon
But later you’ll have your last breath
Baby girls having babies
By men three times their age
Baby boys being groomed
To die on death’s set stage
Souls are being bought
It’s a commonplace issue
With the smallest of fees
While the cycle continue
The hate for one another
Seems to feed the weak
The misplaced resentment
Seems to target the meek
The heart takes beatings
Until it is ground to powder
Then the monsters rise up
With a false sense of power
Abusing those unable to fight back
Whether it be mentally or physically
Whether it be young or old
The level has become critically
Destruction lays in the wake
Cold bodies are the result
Another devastated family
Another investigation insult
Jobless, homeless, and broken down
Working for minimum wage
Can’t provide for family
Can stir up such a rage
Everything was set up
For this people’s demise
Why walk into
You can only agonize
Too destroyed too lost
Wrong road traveled too long
For most there is no turning back
For those here is a requiem song:

“Feasting on death
In a F!@k it mindset
Veins now rotted
Blood clots knotted
Poisons run rampant
Reality abandoned
One less mind
Another soul left behind
Addicted to suicide
Russian roulette glorified
Lives left dangling
Soulless bodies wrangling
The cleanup crew
Always something new
An endless supply
Of a people set on die
Tears shed for many
Century after century”

As I watch this peoples descents
I say “Here is my two cents”
