Every King Needs A Queen

Every King Needs A Queen

A man needs a woman

Who knows a place

Who stands with him

Back to back and face to face

A man needs a woman

Who’ll be there to build up

Not tear down his every effort

To keep him thrilled up

A man needs a woman

Who has respect for him

Who doesn’t mouth off

Who understands his plight

Who smiles instead of scoff

A man needs a woman

Not a little girl

Whose mind is solid

And not swayed by the world

A man needs a woman

Who uses her brain

Instead of what’s between her legs

Also who is sane

A man needs a woman

He is a King in this jungle

He needs a loyal, good woman

She is a vital piece of his puzzle

A man needs a woman

Real women and men know what I mean

A REAL MAN needs a woman

Every King needs a Queen

O My Soul, O My Soul

O My Soul, O My Soul

A loud and woeful mourning

Is emanating from the Negro

Communities and hearts

As the agony continues to grow

Black bodies hanging cold

Black bodies beaten to pieces

Ranging from infants to the old

The atrocity never ceases

O my soul, O my soul

How can a heart hold so many tears?

Those who plunder us

Have reigned for so many years

O lament Negro souls

For all the lost brothers and sisters

We know the darkness upon us

Listen to the Negro soul’s whispers

All the death and destruction

Rained upon our lives

Meant to annihilate us

Mixed with hate that drives

Those who wish us death

To afflict atrocious deeds on us

That shatters us to the core

And hate to hear us put up a fuss

They say sat there and take what we give you

You are less than human, not worth nothing

You don’t need love, oranything good

It’s you people we will keep on crushing

O my soul, O my soul

Feel heavy for your nation

One day things will be better

Let’s keep pushing motivation
